Concert Band
The Concert Band is composed of intermediate/advanced seventh and eighth graders where membership is determined by audition the previous spring. There will be a continued emphasis on fundamentals and students will learn concert band practices. Students will have a
45 minute sectional once a week. Students in this ensemble
are required to participate in Solo/Ensemble contest with a
prepared solo and is strongly encouraged to audition for All-Region band. Private lessons are also highly suggested. Performances will include two football games, one fall concert, holiday concert, two contests in the spring, a spring concert, clinics, and pep rallies. It is also expected that students practice thirty minutes a
day, six days a week. Points earned should be calculated on practice records and be turned in weekly.
